The IATEFL International House Training and Development Scholarship

The aim of this new scholarship, funded by International House, is to enable a teacher trainer/developer workding in either private or state sector education to present his/her work to a wider audience by giving a presentation at the IATEFL annual conference.  The trainer/developer should also be in a position to disseminate knowledge and skills from the conference back to the local workplace.

You do not need to be a member of IATEFL to apply for this scholarship but successful non-members will have the membership fee (£45) deducted from the award as all presenters must be members of IATEFL.

One award of £1000 will be made each year to cover an IATEFL membership subscription (if applicable), the conference registration fee and expenses.  No one can be awarded the scholarship more than once.

To be considered applicants are asked to:

  • submit a completed six-page speaker proposal form.
  • send a brief curriculum vitae and a passport size photograph.

Deadlines and more details about application can be seen in the guidelines which are available as a download from this page.
