SIG Discussion Lists

Running discussion lists are just one of the benefits many SIGs provide their members.

SIG discussion lists allow like-minded professionals to exchange ideas by way of a single email contact point. Any message sent to the group email address, often kept on a mailing list servers like yahoo, is automatically resent to all users on the mailing list. Participants can access the SIG discussion lists by a web link.

SIG discussion lists usually have a moderator who guides the discussion and ensures that it stays on topic. Some SIGs invite moderators, also called fielders, to lead focussed discussions, lasting for approx seven days. These fielded discussions have become very popular. Information about these fielded discussions is announced regularly in Voices and through the SIG publications.

This is a members’ only discussion list. Free access is granted for three months, if a participant does not join the YL SIG they are removed from the list.
