LAMSIG - Moving into ELT Management and Dealing with Common Issues
Progressing into a managerial role is an extremely exciting moment in a career. Unfortunately, for some who have made the leap, they can find themselves in a situation where they feel their skillsets are under-developed, they’re under-supported by peers, and were under-informed about exactly what the role would entail.
In the first half of this webinar, Ku-Yun Chang and Jonathan Yates will explore some common issues faced by new managers alongside suggestions for how to adapt to a new range of responsibilities and an expanded workload. They will then discuss what experienced managers can do to help prepare new managers for making the step up, making transitions smoother and helping them thrive within their roles.
In the second half, Anju Moses will provide practical advice and tips for managing common issues in ELT management, for both new and more experiences leaders. We will share insights and strategies to help enhance leadership skills and effectively support staff using a collaborative approach.
