TTEdSIG & TESOL Spain present Professional Development Day for Teacher Educators
The TTEdSIG and TESOL Spain are holding a joint event titled the Professional Development Day for Teacher Educators. Within the world of teacher education, there are lots of opportunities for teachers, but not so many for those involved in teacher education (e.g., trainers, Directors of Studies, mentors, etc.).
This event is one of our solutions to providing training and support to those who spend so much time training and providing support to teachers. Attendees should expect to be involved in workshops that focus on Language Teacher Education topics such as observation, micro-teaching, running workshops, and many more.
There will also be talks exploring how Second Language Teacher Education could improve, how trainers impact learning, tips for running pre-service courses, and the importance of raising teacher awareness of environmental issues (and how this can be done). In short, there is something for everyone, no matter if you work in a pre-service or in-service context.
Plenary Speakers
- Jessica Mackay - The Seven Ages of EL (Teachers): Promoting Teacher Development Across the Career Span
- Cecilia Nobre - Dialogues, not Monologues: Reimagining the Dynamics of Teacher Education
With sessions run by Andrea Tolve, Duncan Ford, Geoff Jordan, Khanh-Duc Kuttig, Bridget Schwarz, Bahar Gün, Gerard McLoughlin, Teresa Bestwick, Rebecca Place, Jim Fuller and more...
