MAWSIG - in-person PCE: 'How do we become better materials developers?'
Join the IATEFL Materials Writting Special Interest Group for their 2025 in person Pre-Conference Event on 7 April: 'How do we become better materials developers?'
Join us at this year’s PCE for an inspiring and informative event focused on becoming better materials developers. Whether you're creating teacher’s guides, standalone lessons, a multi-level global course or your own website copy, this event is designed to enhance your skills and elevate your work.
We’ll provide opportunities for the audience to reflect on their process of materials development, and how we become better at what we do as a result of this. We’ll be looking at how we overcome challenges, how we make the most of opportunities and how this results in knowledge and skills that help us become better materials developers. We have invited presenters who will share and explore with us their journeys to becoming successful materials writers/developers; the steps they have followed to do so; and the lessons they have learnt along the way.
The sessions will cover topics such as developing a framework for materials writing, using AI, and improving your ability to promote your work. You will leave with practical knowledge and actionable strategies to help you hone your materials writing skills.
In addition to the sessions, you'll have the opportunity to network with fellow materials developers, share experiences, and collaborate on new ideas. This is a unique chance to connect with like-minded professionals and gain fresh perspectives on your work.
We look forward to seeing you there.
