BESIG - Using SWOT Analysis to Adapt Teaching Materials for Business English Learners
In this webinar, we will discuss SWOT analysis and how it can help teachers evaluate and adapt teaching materials effectively. By examining both authentic and inauthentic materials, teachers can gain awareness of their benefits and drawbacks. While authentic materials are engaging and reflect real-world language, they can present challenges such as complexity or unpredictability. In contrast, inauthentic materials are easier to control but may lack practical relevance.
We will also address the challenges teachers face when using authentic materials or needing to adapt 'on-the-spot' resources during lessons. By understanding these issues, teachers can facilitate learning more effectively and better meet the needs of their learners.
