Book title: Unlocking Potential: “Inclusive approaches to screening and testing EFL learners with dyslexia”

About the author:

Dr. Monika Łodej received her Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Warsaw. She is an Assistant Professor with a tenured position at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce, where she teaches graduate courses in TESOL methodology, L2 pedagogy, dyslexia in bilingual learners, and research methods. She specializes in the psycholinguistic aspects of reading and writing disorders in English as a foreign language among students with dyslexia and is the author of the book Dyslexia in First and Foreign Language Learning: A Cross-Linguistic Approach.

 

In addition, Dr. Łodej has developed two postgraduate diploma programmes: Teaching English to Students with Special Educational Needs and Trends and Innovations in English Language Teaching. Beyond her academic contributions, she has adapted EFL textbooks for students with dyslexia at Pearson Education. Dr. Łodej is certified to diagnose and treat dyslexia. She is also a qualified teacher in both Poland and England, having worked as a class teacher in a London primary school and provided remedial instruction for underachieving students with special educational needs using the Read Write Inc. Phonics programme.
