'How to access CPD'
An IATEFL recorded webinar presented by Fiona Dunlop (recorded November 2014)
Continuing professional development is crucial to our job satisfaction and performance as teachers. However, with busy schedules and often autonomous work timetables it can be difficult to fit in.
In this webinar, Fiona looks at the various ways we can access professional development, whether you work for an organisation or are a freelance trainer. The presenter looks at what opportunities are available to us, how to select what is useful and relevant for us and our clients and how to remain structured and goal driven.
Fiona provides practical, easy to implement ideas and activities that can be integrated into the everyday working life of a busy English trainer, including reflective practice, action research guidelines, using CPD frameworks such as the British Council framework and other useful ideas.
You should leave the webinar full of motivation and armed with a bank of ideas to allow you to continue to develop professionally in your career as an English language teacher.
